CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE 2008 AWARD WINNERS!!

Click here to view the 2008 award winners and a few pictures from the evening

Please also check out the field crew for this weekend on the homepage

Rob Books found a potential source for a grant of $2,500 for the youth team. Take this quiz right now...and make sure the Baltimore-Chesapeake RFC Youth gets the credit. Please send this link to your girlfriends, co-workers, family, etc. The grant period for this year ends on May 31st. Here is a link to the website and there are instructions below. So far only 3 people have done this. That is unacceptable. This is easy money (and the quiz is also easy...you have to answer every question correctly, but it lets you know which ones you missed).

Click on Get Started under Participants and then click on Parents under Get Started and then click Take the Quiz. To get the BC Youth team credit you will have to register your email.

Coaches Corner

Make sure you bring cleats and sneakers to practice. In case of poor weather, we will post any changes to the practice location on the website and we will send emails through the yahoo group listserver.

Check out the new pictures. The Peter Brock gameday pictures (folder titled Brumbies March 28, 2009) were taken by Chris Held, so blame him if they are no good. Bugger Storm also uploaded new pictures from past games and events.

May 2 & 3 is the 32 Annual Rites of Spring Tournament. Paul Fordiani and his crew will be catering. Wade will be there with BallsOut and Baltimore's favorite brew Natty Boh will be flowing. The feature game on Saturday is a Super League matchup between the Potomac Athletic Club and the Dallas Harlequins. There will be 2 men's divisions and 1 women's division, so there will be plenty of good, quality rugby to watch. Visit our webpage for all the details.

On Saturday, May 9, we will be hosting a youth rugby clinic with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks. We welcome boys and girls ages 7 to 15. No experience required. The clinic will be held at Frank Bocek Park from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be light snacks and refreshments following the clinic.
